• Oct 17, 2018 : Announcement of postdoctoral positions in Paris

  Two postdoctoral positions in Mathematical Control Theory, Set-Valued Analysis and Optimisation are available. Two Post-Doctoral Associate positions of 12 months each (with possible extension up to 24 months) are available at Institut de Mathematiques de Jussieu - Paris Rive Gauche, Sorbonne Universite (ex Paris 6). The starting date may be July or September 2019, or January 2020. The research domain of these post-doctoral positions falls in the area of mathematical control theory using tools of set-valued and variational analysis, mathematical morphology, differential calculus of maps on metric spaces, differential inclusions. The monthly salary of the post doctoral associates in France with less than two years experience since their PhD thesis is 2167 € net and when the experience is more than two years it is 3000 € net. • Feb 08, 2017 : Women in Optimization Workshop in Trier

  Vom 20. - 22. März 2017 findet in Trier der zweite „Women in Optimization“ Workshop statt. Der Workshop richtet sich an Nachwuchswissenschaftlerinnen, Doktorandinnen und Studentinnen der Mathematik mit dem Schwerpunkt Optimierung. Das Ziel des Workshops liegt sowohl in der fachlichen Weiterbildung als auch in der Vernetzung innerhalb der Optimierungscommunity. Neben Fachvorträgen eingeladener Referentinnen bietet der Workshop viel Raum für wissenschaftliche Diskussionen und Erfahrungsaustausch.
